Hand-built, flat-bottomed Canadian rowing and motor Dory with optional sailing rig and Snipe trailer. Complete with 6hp outboard, oars, lugsail and rigging.
Dory’s are stable, high-sided and wide-beamed boats, perfect for family expeditions, fishing trips, etc. Ideal river boat, which can be rowed, motored or sailed.
This Dory is built following the Newfoundland tradition of inshore Atlantic fishing craft – making it a very stable and safe family boat, including two built-in watertight flotation compartments, fore and aft.
Constructed of heavy-duty marine plywood with hardwood trim and strengthening pieces to gunwales, thwarts, deck-boards and braces.
Pine mast, spars and lugsail designed for downwind sailing. A deep removable rudder with hinged fin will give good steerage.
Four brass rowlocks allow rowing from either seat. Unknown year of build, but assumed mid 1990s – mid 2000s
