Owners Comments:
TRAMP ROYAL is the second of only six Cheverton Cavaliers built in the 1960’s in the Wing on Shing’s shipyard, Hong Kong, three of which were commissioned by Lords of the realm and two of which have circumnavigated the world.
Commissioned by Baron Coleraine of Haltemprice, TRAMP ROYAL, was built to Lloyds 100 A1 classification in priceless Burma teak and named after Kipling’s evocative poem. Originally constructed to a very high standard using teak boards. Lead keel which provides 1.9 tons of ballast, giving a high level of stiffness for a relatively low draft of only 4’7″.
TRAMP ROYAL is a wonderful example of a superbly built and designed cruising yacht which has been owned and loved by the Poole family for over 35 years, cruising in home waters as well as Holland, the Mediterranean via the French Canals and Bay of Biscay. She is a very comfortable cruising Yacht that sits well in the water in even the strongest of winds due to her weighty lead keel, she is dry and very homely ideal for a small family or couple with a double cabin forward and twin bunks in the main cabin. We have had many wonderful trips around in and around the Solent and beyond over recent years for family holidays and we are sure there is a wooden boat lover out there ready to sail her on for the next 35 years or more
Viewing and a test sail are highly recommended.
