Classic Yacht Brokerage Comments on this Percy Mitchell Twin Screw Motor Yacht

Designed and built by G. Percy Mitchell & Sons in 1968.  Built as a pleasure boat with distinct fishing boat lines, giving her a purposeful air and solidity at sea.

Bought by the current owner in 2004 who then commenced on a major professional refit of the boat inside and out.  This work included the following:

  • New Beta Marine 75hp engines (2010) with all new electrical and fuel systems
  • New teak deck (2010)
  • Rebuilt cockpit (2009) with custom made tent/cover
  • New sole boards throughout in laid teak (2010)
  • New wiring and systems
  • New water and fuel tanks (2005)

During the current ownership she has cruised regularly up and down the west country coasts, voyaging mainly between Salcombe and the Helford river, much of it single handed.

With a reliable autopilot and economic engines, she cruises comfortably at 6 knots.

With high freeboard and a large coachroof, the internal volume of this boat is vast.  The aft cockpit, spacious in its own right, has a custom made cover on a stainless frame that creates another comfortable inside space, excellent when spending extended time aboard the boat.

The is a smart and well cared for yacht, wintered undercover every year and professionally maintained by an experienced yard.

November 2024 survey available.
