DREMAH of CHICHESTER – HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

The first Pegasus 35 was launched at the 1969 London Boat Show and later the same year took part in the Round Britain powerboat race. She won the Best All-Rounder, Concours d’Elegance and Index of Performance prizes. Despite this flying start and a good reputation for their high standard of construction only 13 boats were built before production ceased in 1973. But for two boats built in GRP they were all cold-moulded mahogany, cascover sheathed and fitted with 145hp Perkins Diesel engines giving a top speed of 25 knots. A few later boats with upgraded engines of 175hp achieved nearly 30 knots. Pronounced raked stem and flared bows, radius transom stern, full keel and hard chine construction giving a planing hull. Double and triple mahogany cold moulded hull all copper fastened to oak timbers.

Launched in June 1971 for owner John Vernon of Kensington as ORMINDO and registered in Cowes.
John was also part owner of a Daring On-Design Sloop and member of numerous yacht clubs. He owned ORMINDO during the 1970s & 1980s before she was sold into new ownership and named DREMAH OF CHICHESTER. The current owner bought her a good few years ago and set about refurbishing the hull and maintaining the vessel to a good standard.

The Pegasus 35 is an attractive and stylish design offering adaptable, light accommodation with full standing headroom a separate ensuite aft cabin and convertible open-backed wheelhouse with generous rear sundeck.

Extremely original example, ideal for extended coastal cruising, holidays afloat or for living aboard. In commission and ready for the 2019 season. A few cosmetics will bring her up to a high standard for a now quite rare Pegasus.
