KNAVE OF HEARTS was built in 1936 by the well respected Thames based company of Kris Craft of Isleworth. Unfortunately not a great deal is known about her early history although KNAVE OF HEARTS until recently was a familiar sight on the River Thames. Her former owner was a founding member of the Thames Vintage Boat Club and KNAVE OF HEARTS is listed as boat number 2 on their register. In previous ownership KNAVE OF HEARTS attended countless boat rallies on the River Thames and was a prize winner at the Henley Traditional Boat Rally.

The present owner restored the hull in 2021 with much re-planking in mahogany to match the existing. The boat has been very sympathetically restored throughout and must be one of the finest original examples of her type in the country. Designed for rivers, estuary and short coastal passages KNAVE OF HEARTS is an exquisite vintage motor cruiser with so much ambience and character and is ideal for holidays or weekends afloat exploring the waterways of Britain.

Carvel mahogany hull on steam bent oak timbers. Teak and mahogany laid decks, brightwork and wheel-shelter. Many original and period bronze and brass deck fittings. Long keel, round bilges, straight stem and transom stern.

Period varnished interior offering saloon with two settee berths, skylight, chart table with lockers below, galley with inset sink and pantry locker beneath. Large forepeak with period marine wc, wash basin and access to chain locker.

Large aft cockpit a principal feature offering ample space for fishing, family picnics and entertaining guests aboard. Helm position to port with helm seat, period instruments. Locker seats and access to the vintage 30hp BMC/MORRIS VEDETTE PETROL ENGINE circa 1960. Aft canopy.
